Account Manager

About the role

This is a full-time Account Manager position at KUEK, ONG & ASSOCIATES in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As the Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in the Accounting team, providing strategic financial management and control services to support the overall objectives of the company.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing the day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Analysing financial data, identifying trends and providing insights to support business decision-making
• Managing accounts payable and receivable processes and maintaining detailed financial records
• Preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing effective financial controls

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar Account Manager or Senior Accountant role
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA) is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present financial information effectively
• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations and best practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve goals
