Discover Impactful Work:

Lead and manage business for Fisher Scientific Malaysia in the region assigned according to company’s strategies and plans. Perform sales and marketing activities for product marketed by the department, including but not limited to chemicals, chromatography consumables and laboratory items. Continuously and independently look for opportunity to grow the committed revenue and overall gross margin for current account assigned.

A day in the Life:

To undertake and perform sales & marketing activities focusing on achieving assigned sales target in assigned territories for products and/or services assigned.

  • To drive growth on the product portfolios assigned. E.g. market intelligent, product/tech info sharing and develop appropriate marketing plan in order to achieve product target set by HOD.
  • Business development in the assigned territory. Develop short-term and long-term strategies to aggressive drive organic growth.
  • Nurture strong, long term connections with key clients while managing and growing important accounts.
  • Foster teamwork and cooperation to boost customer offers, revenue, and overall business opportunities.
  • To provide department manager with monthly update on market updates, competitor’s activities, business opportunities and other relevant market information.
  • To assist HOD or equivalent experience with other job responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Other Responsibilities

  • Plan and prioritize resources to enhance revenue growth and achieve agreed-upon targets.
  • Assist customers with product applications, method development, and troubleshooting. Coordinate with vendors' technical team and monitor customer satisfaction.
  • Develop short-term and long-term strategies to aggressively drive organic growth.
  • To participate in all training activities (local or overseas) provided by the company or the company’s vendors.
  • Prepare and submit accurate sales-related documents, including weekly and monthly reports on sales, forecasts and performance metrics to Department Manager.
  • To participate in all initiatives and activities including but not limited to marketing, seminars and roadshows undertaken by the department and company.
  • Act as primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly, professionally and ensure customer's expectations are met.
  • Ensure effective communication regarding the collection of outstanding invoices.

Adhere to company guidelines in Malaysia, acquire required qualifications and agreements, and follow government regulations.

Keys to Success:

A proven track record in sales preferably B to B business manner.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales and account management preferably in the scientific, life sciences or chemical industry.
  • A proven track record in sales preferably chromatography consumables business.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively, analytical thinking and problem solving.
  • Capable of working autonomously and multitasking.
  • Skilled in using CRM software, SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel and possession of a valid driver's license.
