Account Executive / Senior Account Executive

Key Responsibilities

Trade Operations & Reconciliation Support

Maintain & update accurate trade data within the accounting and trading systems

Reconcile trade records with bank statements & inventory to ensure data consistency and accuracy

Cash Flow Monitoring & Credit Control

Monitor cash flow generated from trading activities and ensure timely settlement of payments from clients

Track outstanding receivables and proactively manage the collection process to maintain healthy cash flows and reduce credit risk

Financial Reporting & Regulatory Compliance

Prepare daily and monthly summaries of trade activities along with standard financial reports to support internal analysis and decision making

Ensure all reporting and trade documentation adhere to internal controls, company policies and applicable regulatory requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Team Support

Coordinate with trading, operations and back-office teams to ensure seamless execution of financial processes

Provide support and guidance to junior team members on reconciliation procedures and financial reporting tasks

Systems Management

To aid in the improvement and development on new and existing systems and platforms.

Accounts Management

Ensure completeness and accuracy of inbound and outbound payments

Review and manage client payment processes, ensuring compliance with agreed terms

Maintain and update records on transactions, ensuring accuracy and addressing irregularities

Review and recommend credit controls and identifying risks

Coordinate and execute month-end closings

Conduct reconciliations and prepare audit schedules

Prepare taxation and e-invoicing submissions

Assist in preparation of financial statements for internal and external audit

Ensure compliance with bullion accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Support implementation and monitoring of internal controls, standard operating procedures and company policies

Discrepancy Investigation & Issue Resolution

Identify & investigate discrepancies with other departments

Implement appropriate corrective actions on discrepancies

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage

Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in the commodities, trading, or financial services sectors.

Hands-on experience in month-end closing, reconciliation, SST filing, e-invoicing and general ledger management is essential.

Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP systems).

Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Solid understanding of tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external parties.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

High degree of integrity, with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical accounting practices.
