Account Executive (General Ledger)

Qualifications:

1. Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
2. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
3. Tax working experience will be an advantage.
4. Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
5. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
6. Accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Team player, proactive, good attitude, has a good sense of responsibility and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
8. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
9. BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant.

Job Description:

• Assist with tax audits and tax return.
• Handle full sets of accounts efficiently, accurately and on a timely manner, but not limited to:
• Maintain general ledger by compiling, analyzing account information and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expenses transaction.
• Maintain and balance intercompany accounts by verifying, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies.
• Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other financial reports.
• Ensure proper filing system and documentation.
• Liaise with external authorities (auditors, bankers, tax agents and respective government authorities where required).
• Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
• Perform other duties as and when delegated, i.e., back up function, business process improvement initiatives and ad-hoc projects.
