Job summary

A logistics company located in Selangor, Malaysia is seeking an experienced accountant to manage daily accounting functions, including accounts receivables, payables, and general ledger entries. The ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, 2 years of experience in the field, and strong skills in MS Office and accounting software. Responsibilities include processing transactions, preparing reports, ensuring accuracy in financial documents, and performing reconciliations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent fields.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the Accounting field.
  • Preferably with experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and General Ledger (GL) preparation.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Required skills: MS Office, any Accounting Software.

Responsibilities

  • Handle daily accounting functions including Accounts Receivables / Accounts Payables / GL entries.
  • Process accounting transactions, issue payments, and update ledgers.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management report sub-schedules.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of receipts, invoices and payments.
  • Timely performance of reconciliations including bank reconciliation.
  • Verify transactions to post to the general ledger.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as directed.
Job description
Overview

Handle daily accounting functions including Accounts Receivables / Accounts Payables / GL entries.

To process accounting transactions, issue payments, and update ledgers.

Assist in the preparation of monthly management report sub-schedules or relevant supporting reports.

Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the receipts, invoices and payments.

Timely performance of reconciliations including bank reconciliation, payment report, vendor and customer statements.

Verify transactions to post to the general ledger.

Any other ad-hoc duties or assignments as directed by immediate superior from time to time.

  • Must have at least 2 years of working experience in the Accounting field.
