Job summary

A leading retail company in Malaysia is seeking an Accounting Assistant to handle day-to-day finance tasks and manage supplier invoices. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and possess 1-2 years of experience, though fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Excellent organization and MS Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Compile supplier invoices and arrange payment.
  • Prepare e-invoice for stakeholders and assist in monthly submission.
  • Maintain a proper record and organization of filing system.
  • Responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts administration tasks.
  • Check on petty cash claims and arrange reimbursement payments.
  • Perform monthly bank statement reconciliation.

  • Prepare e-invoice for stakeholder and assist in monthly e-invoice submission.
  • Maintain proper record and organisation of filling system.
  • Responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts administration tasks.
  • Check on petty cash claim and arrange reimbursement payment.
  • Check on staff expenses claim and input to staff claim template.
  • Perform monthly bank statement reconciliation and resolve discrepancy if any.
  • Any other ad hoc assignment.
Requirements
  • Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields with professional qualifications.
  • Experienced in Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk.
  • Possess good knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures.
  • Familiar with accounting standards, tax laws, and filling procedure.
  • Excellent math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors.
  • Advance level in MS Excel and good knowledge of accounting software.
  • Organization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
  • Experience: 1 or 2 years experience in account (preferably with retail company).
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
