A leading company in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Executive to manage daily financial operations including accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and relevant qualifications, contributing effectively to the finance team.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Executive to handle day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, financial reporting, and asset management. The role also involves supporting monthly progress claims, liaising with the corporate secretary, and assisting in the preparation of key financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable and Receivable (AP & AR)
Process supplier invoices, payments, and customer receipts
Maintain accurate records of payables and receivables
Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
Payroll
Perform monthly payroll calculations and statutory deductions
Ensure timely salary disbursement and compliance with regulations
Data Entry & Documentation
Maintain and organize financial records and documentation
Progress Claims
Prepare and manage monthly project progress claims
Liaise with project teams to ensure timely and accurate submissions
Insurance
Assist with maintaining and renewing company insurance policies
Coordinate with insurers and support claims documentation
Assist in preparing management accounts, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing
Fixed Asset Management
Maintain the fixed asset register and perform depreciation calculations
Track acquisitions, disposals, and asset condition
Corporate Secretary Liaison
Liaise with the corporate secretary on statutory filings and company secretarial matters
Ensure compliance with regulatory and filing requirements
Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least 2–3 years of relevant working experience
Proficient in AutoCount software and Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of financial principles and reporting standards
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
