A leading company in manufacturing is seeking an Account Executive to manage financial reporting, inventory, and asset management. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Accountancy or professional certifications with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include maintaining general ledger entries, preparing financial statements, and supporting audits, making it a key role in the finance department.
•Responsible for maintaining and reviewing general ledger entries, reconcile financial statements and ensure data accuracy of the financials
•Preparation of supporting schedules for month end closing and reporting.
•To support monthly and annual closing which includes preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (including Group consolidation) accurately to the Management.
•Responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial information as well as providing solutions on issues to be resolved.
•Ensure accounting practices follow company policies, procedures, statutory requirements and accounting standards.
•Assist with the preparation and coordination of audits.
•Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software.
Asset Management
•Monitoring and maintenance of Fixed Asset Register by ensuring additions, disposals and write-offs are processed on a timely basis.
•Compute monthly depreciation for fixed assets and update the depreciation schedules in accordance with the company's policies and accounting standards.
•Conduct analyses, physical sighting related to fixed assets.
•Assist in fixed asset-related activities during month-end closing, including preparation of reports.
Cash Management
•Prepare bank reconciliations for all bank accounts monthly.
•Monitor payments of the Group and support CAPEX and OPEX planning.
•Support Finance Manager in ensuring compliance to banking and treasury policies, Bank Negara Malaysia and bank covenants.
•Support audit processes by preparing required documentation and responding to queries.
Inventory Management
•Maintain and update on all categories of inventory valuation.
•Review, identify and quantity slow moving /non-moving/obsolete inventories and execute corrective measures.
•Collaborate with order departments to ensure accurate inventory records in the financial statements.
•Responsible for generating and analyzing inventory reports.
•Support ad-hoc, quarterly and annual physical inventory count.
•Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory counts or movements.
Others
•Other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or Chief Financial Officer.
Qualifications and skills:
•Degree in Accountancy or professional in ACCA, CIMA, CPA
•Min 3 years of experience in the similar capacity with a background in manufacturing industry preferred.
•Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles/standards.
•Proficiency in accounting software and ERP Systems.
•Analytical, resourceful, organized, meticulous, responsible, excellent problem-solving skills and committed to meeting deadlines.
•Ability to work as a team and independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks effectively.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Audit experience and experience in consolidation would be an added advantage.
