A leading company in Malaysia is looking for an accounting professional to manage day-to-day activities and project costing. This role involves preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining documentation. Ideal candidates should possess relevant qualifications and experience in full set accounting and project analysis.
Manage day-to-day accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial and management reports.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
Maintain proper documentation, filing, and record-keeping in compliance with audit and legal requirements.
Project Costing
Monitor and track project-related expenditures including materials, labor, subcontractors, and overheads.
Compile and analyze project cost data to ensure proper cost allocation and budgeting.
Prepare and present project cost reports, profit and loss per project, and variance analysis.
Work closely with project and operational teams to gather necessary data and validate cost entries.
Compliance & Reporting
Prepare and submit SST returns and other tax-related filings.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretary.
Ensure compliance with local financial reporting standards and statutory regulations.
Assist in financial forecasting, budgeting, and internal controls.
Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, including full set of accounts and project costing.
Strong understanding of project-based accounting and cost allocation.
Proficient in accounting systems (e.g. SQL, Autocount, UBS) and Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, SST, eInvoicing and financial regulations.
Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
