A leading company in retail is seeking an Accounting professional to manage comprehensive financial tasks including accounts, payroll, and inventory. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills with a background in accounting or finance and relevant experience in retail. Job description

Handle a full set of accounts including GL, AR, AP, and bank reconciliations.

Manage inventory costing and assist with stock control processes.

Maintain proper documentation and filing of all accounting records.

Handle e-invoicing requirements in compliance with LHDN guidelines and ensure timely issuance of digital invoices.

Monitor cash flow and perform bank reconciliation.

Handle accounts payable/receivable with accuracy and timeliness.

Ensure all documentation is organized and up-to-date.

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other relevant parties.

Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks as required.

Process end-to-end payroll for employees in compliance with statutory regulations.

Ensure timely payment of salaries, bonuses, and other compensations.

Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to manage employee benefits, deductions, and taxation.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for internal and external audits.

Stay updated on changes in payroll laws, tax codes, and labor legislation.

Job Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably in retail or trading.

Experience in inventory-based accounting is highly desirable.

Proficient in accounting software (e.g., UBS, or equivalent).

Good command of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.

Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to meet deadlines.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and within a team.

Willingness to take on additional roles in a growing retail environment.

Required language(s): English, Bahasa Melayu; Mandarin is a bonus.
