Job description

Responsible for managing the Company’s full set of accounts with minimal supervision.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts department, ensuring compliance with internal control procedures and accounting policies.

Prepare and analyze monthly variances for all expenses against the budget.

Monitor bank balances, cash flow, and fund placements.

Coordinate and prepare financial budgets, projections, and performance targets, and monitor financial performance against these benchmarks.

Liaise with financial institutions, auditors, and tax agents on accounting and financial matters.

Manage, update, and maintain an accurate and efficient filing system.

Support and participate in ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience; experience in the construction industry is an advantage.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and demonstrate responsibility.
  • Analytical, organized, meticulous, and responsible with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCount accounting software, and HR software.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Malay, and Mandarin; proficiency in Mandarin is preferred for communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.
