An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Accounting Officer to oversee daily operational matters and ensure the accuracy of financial records. Job description

Job Descriptions:

  1. Responsible for the day-to-day operational matters of the accounts.
  2. Cash in and cash out checking for daily and weekly.
  3. Performing transaction key in and checking.
  4. Preparing documents for management accounts (Account Payable, Account Receivable, General Ledger, Management Account, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet).
  5. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly closing of accounts.
  6. Monitor bank balance, cash flow position and fund placement.
  7. Assist in any ad-hoc duties as assigned.
  8. Answering queries and providing solutions.
  9. Execute direct tasks from superior.
  10. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation regulations, and other regulatory requirements.
  11. Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and company secretaries.

Job Requirements:

  1. Degree in Accounting/Finance or other accounting-related fields.
  2. Minimum requirement of capability in reviewing Full Set of Accounting (Account Payable, Account Receivable, General Ledger, Management Account, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet); capable of working with Full Set of Accounting is also desired.
  3. Strong in double entry.
  4. 3 – 4 years of working experience.
  5. Familiar with Excel (Lookup Features), Word, PowerPoint, SQL, and relevant accounting systems (autocount, UBS, etc.).
  6. Capable of working independently with little supervision.
  7. Good command of spoken and written English & Malay.
  8. Analytical, resourceful, organized, meticulous, responsible, excellent problem-solving skills, and committed to meeting tight deadlines.
  9. Self-motivated and has an organized working attitude.
  10. Immediate availability preferred.
