Job description

WINECELLARS (MEGA EXPRESS SDN BHD) is seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in supporting our growing accounting functions.

What you'll be doing:

Managing accurate financial records, including full sets of accounts, accounts payable and receivable, and monthly bank reconciliations

Preparing financial statements and assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes

Supporting tax preparation and statutory filings

Providing general administrative support such as data entry, document filing, and correspondence handling

Liaising with internal departments, auditors, tax agents, and bankers to facilitate smooth operations

What we're looking for:

A degree in Accounting or a related field

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting role

Solid understanding of accounting principles and hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero

Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Confidence to work independently when needed

A proactive, solutions-driven mindset with a collaborative spirit

Availability to start work immediately or within short notice
