Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent (ACCA, CPA, or CIMA is an advantage).
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in finance, preferably in construction.
- Strong knowledge of CIDB, LHDN, and BNM regulations related to construction finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, Autocount, or SAP).
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience liaising with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin. Proficiency in Mandarin is required for communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB) regulations.
- Handle audits and tax filings, including SST, income tax, and RPGT.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax agents, and government authorities.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost control reports; track cash flow and funding requirements; identify cost-saving measures.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage progress payments, claims verification, billing, and ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Project & Contract Finance: Analyze contract agreements, monitor project financing, liaise with banks, assess financial implications of variations, and provide financial analysis for decision-making.
