A leading company in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Finance Manager. The role includes preparing annual budgets, financial forecasting, and managing financial reporting. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, substantial financial experience, and excellent communication skills. The position offers an opportunity to provide leadership and guidance within a dynamic financial landscape.
Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts to align with company objectives.
Monitor cash flow and analyze variances to support decision-making and planning.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Maintain full sets of accounts and supporting schedules in compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
Ensure adherence to financial policies, tax laws, and internal controls.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and company secretaries for smooth financial operations.
Monitor financial performance and implement cost control measures to improve efficiency.
Identify and manage financial risks to protect company assets and resources.
Establish and maintain internal controls and SOPs to safeguard financial integrity.
Review and enhance financial processes for greater operational efficiency.
Lead, train, and supervise the finance team for performance and growth.
Performing any other duties assigned by the superior.
Job Requirement:
Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and/or professional qualification in ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent.
Must be a member of MIA or a relevant professional body.
Minimum 5-8 years of financial experience, preferably in SME business models; Senior-level candidates should have over 10 years of experience.
Strong expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Experience in the Malaysian financial landscape is advantageous.
Must be a hands-on person and able to provide leadership and guidance to the supporting team.
Able to multi-task, handle ad-hoc duties and meet deadlines.
