Job summary

A leading company in import and finance is seeking an Accounts and Administration Executive to handle K1 customs declarations and import financing documents. The ideal candidate will have a diploma/degree in relevant fields, 2-3 years' experience in the import industry, and proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software. This role also involves liaising with banks, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with Malaysian customs regulations.

Job description

Prepare and submit K1 customs declaration forms for import shipments in compliance with Malaysian customs regulations.

Manage import financing documents such as Letter of Credit (LC), Trust Receipts (TR), Telegraphic Transfers (TT), and Banker's Acceptance (BA).

Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and customs officers on documentation and clearance matters.

Liaise with banks for financing applications, drawdowns, and settlement tracking.

Handle full set of accounts including AP, AR, bank reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end closing.

Monitor cash flow and prepare funding schedules related to import activities.

Assist in SST submission, tax reporting, and other statutory compliance tasks.

Handle shipping documents including invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and insurance.

Track shipment status and update landed cost reports.

Maintain proper filing of finance and import documents for audit and internal use.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent.

Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in import industry, especially in handling K1 forms and trade financing.

Familiar with Malaysian customs clearance process and bank import financing procedures.

Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (SQL or equivalent).

Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage to liaise with Chinese-speaking suppliers.

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines independently.
