Job OverviewWe are seeking a meticulous and reliable Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including accounts receivable, payables, general ledger management, and marketplace reconciliation. This role requires strong attention to detail, high integrity, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities1. Accounts Receivable
Maintain, manage, and accurately record day-to-day receivable transactions.
Inspect, verify, and reconcile accounts receivable records and balances.
Coordinate closely with the Sales team to ensure the timely collection of outstanding customer payments.
2. Accounts Payable
Prepare and process payments to creditors in a timely manner.
Maintain a proper petty cash schedule and manage related disbursements.
3. General Ledger & Fixed Assets
Perform bank reconciliation and ensure all financial transactions are accurately reflected.
Assist in the preparation of annual accounts.
Maintain and update inventory records regularly.
Manage and tag fixed assets while maintaining the fixed assets schedule.
4. Marketplace Reconciliation
Prepare invoice listings for online marketplaces such as Shopee, TikTok, and Lazada.
Reconcile recorded sales with marketplace order invoices, including adjustments for fees and deductions.
5. General Duties
Ensure strict confidentiality and integrity of all financial data and records.
Provide administrative and operational support to the Accounts Manager in various ad hoc accounting duties as required.
Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with at least 1 year of relevant working experience.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and integrity.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
Familiarity with accounting software systems is essential.
Able to coordinate with clients, vendors, and government agencies when needed.
