About the role

We are seeking an experienced Account Assistant to join our team at Global Rail Sdn Bhd in Balakong, Selangor. This full-time position will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounts support to ensure the efficient operation of our finance and accounting functions.

What you'll be doing

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Process invoices, handle payments, and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and other accounting reports
• Provide administrative support to the finance team as required
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as needed
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficient accounting practices

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounts assistant or similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
• Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
