About the role

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Account Assistant to join our talented team at BORNEO SPECIALIST HOSPITAL SDN. BHD. in Kuching, Sarawak. As a full-time member of our Accounting department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth financial operations of our hospital.

What you'll be doing

  • Performing general accounting duties such as data entry, record-keeping, and invoice processing
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Reconciling bank accounts and managing petty cash
  • Providing administrative support to the Accounting team as needed
  • Collaborating with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial records
  • Adhering to all relevant accounting standards and internal policies

What we're looking for

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and under pressure
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and small practice accounting procedures
