Account Assistant

As an Account Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance team in managing daily accounting operations and maintaining accurate financial records. You will be involved in a wide range of accounting functions, financial reporting, and coordination with auditors, tax agents, and other departments. Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage daily accounting tasks including general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), fixed assets, petty cash, and staff claims.
2. Prepare quotations, invoices, and delivery orders (DO) for corporate purchases.
3. Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and performing basic financial analysis.
4. Schedule and coordinate interim and annual stock take.
5. Liaise with internal teams, auditors, tax consultants, and company secretary.
6. Prepare documents for year-end audit and assist in company tax estimations.
7. Assist in monitoring HQ inventory, insurance documentation, and compliance records.
8. Handle import/export documentation and manage customs clearance processes.
9. Update and monitor the monthly marketing budget balances.
10. Support other departments and assist in managing frontline operations when needed.
11. Organize and maintain finance-related documents and records.
12. Perform any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP System will be an added advantage.
4. Basic understanding of Malaysian tax regulations and import/export procedures.
5. Strong attention to detail, with good time management and organizational skills.
6. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
7. Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese (spoken and written).
8. Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
