A General Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily financial transactions of an organization. They ensure that financial records are accurate, up to date, and compliant with accounting principles and regulations. General accountants typically handle tasks such as preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and assisting with audits.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record keeping:

Maintain accurate and detailed financial records for all transactions.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

Process incoming and outgoing payments.

Ensure timely payment of invoices and collections of receivables.

Reconcile bank statements and other financial discrepancies.

Verify the accuracy of financial data and reports.

Budgeting & Reporting:

Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.

Generate financial reports for management to assist in decision-making.

Compliance & Auditing:

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.

Assist with internal and external audits as required.

General Administrative Tasks:

Support senior accountants and other departments with financial information as needed.

Handle routine accounting administrative duties.

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Excel).

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and organizational skills.

This position requires the ability to speak Mandarin. "We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers."

Education:

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is typically required.
