About the role
We are seeking an experienced Account Assistant to join our team at CAPITAL ASSOCIATES (S) SDN. BHD. in Inanam, Sabah. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial records and accounts of the company. As an Account Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
What you'll be doing
Prepare and process daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments
Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate account balances
Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve accounting-related queries
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
Provide administrative support to the accounting team as needed
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts or bookkeeping role, preferably in a similar industry
Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
