About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Academic Admin cum SKM Coordinator to join our team at Northern Kuala Lumpur International College. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to the smooth operation of both SKM programme coordination and general academic administrative functions. Key Responsibilities

SKM Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the implementation and documentation of SKM (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia) programmes in compliance with JPK's (Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran) standards.
  • Manage student registration, assessment scheduling, and tracking of SKM progress.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders (e.g., JPK, industry assessors) to ensure effective programme delivery.
  • Maintain and organise accurate records for SKM portfolios, assessments, and verification activities.
  • Support the preparation and submission of documentation required for audits, validations, and certifications.
  • Communicate key updates and timelines to instructors, students, and assessors regarding SKM processes.
  • Keep up to date with JPK guidelines, procedures, and changes in regulatory requirements.

Academic Administration:

  • Assist in the management and organization of academic records and documentation.
  • Coordinate and support academic events, meetings, and workshops.
  • Maintain and update databases with accurate and current information.
  • Provide administrative support to academic staff and students.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation as required.
  • Resolve routine administrative problems and inquiries.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve departmental goals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education Level: Minimum pass in SPM.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English and Bahasa Melayu.
  • Previous experience in academic administration or SKM coordination is an advantage but not required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
