EDV Werke is looking for an ABAP Developer – Finance & API Integration

Working Model: Hybrid – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Form of cooperation: B2B Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop ABAP programs, reports, and enhancements to meet business requirements, particularly in finance-related modules.
• Customize SAP transactions, focusing on financial modules such as SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and SAP CO (Controlling).
• Build and maintain SAP APIs to ensure seamless integration with external systems and maintain data consistency.
• Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP-based APIs for integration between SAP and other enterprise systems.
• Work with integration teams to ensure smooth data flow and secure API endpoints.
• Monitor and troubleshoot API interfaces, ensuring optimal performance and resolving issues.
• Work with complex financial transactions such as invoicing, payments, journal entries, and cost allocations.
• Ensure accurate financial data processing and reporting within the SAP system.
• Enhance and automate finance workflows to improve efficiency and minimize errors.
• Collaborate with functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements for finance functionalities.
• Provide technical support and issue resolution for ABAP-based finance solutions.
• Engage in unit tests, integration tests, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solution quality.
• Document ABAP developments, API interfaces, and configurations according to company standards.
• Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, coding standards, and security protocols.

Must-Have Technical Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience as an ABAP Developer.
• Strong experience with SAP Finance modules (FI, CO) and an understanding of financial transactions.
• Proven experience developing APIs, particularly RESTful/SOAP web services for SAP integration.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and Fiori applications is a plus.
• Experience with debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting ABAP code and interfaces.
• Strong proficiency in ABAP programming, including reports, function modules, BAPIs, and BADIs.
• Solid understanding of SAP API technologies like OData services and SAP Gateway.
• Knowledge of SAP ALE/IDocs for data integration purposes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
