Job Description

- Part of the designated technical teams to develop, implement, maintain, and support application systems / IT solutions (local and regional) under Risk Management for the designated applications.

- Planning and managing IT project tasks / deliverables: The application system development and implementation of IT projects / solutions are to meet the business strategic plan (including business transformation, business growth, operational efficiency, etc.) and compliance requirements as well as IT-owned initiatives.

Accountability

  • Ensure system high availability and meet SLA
  • Ensure the smooth implementation of projects (new or enhancements) on time and within budget.
  • Ensure system solution/design meets user specifications and business objectives
  • Ensure timely resolution of application problems
  • Ensure compliance with IT standards/policies, QM SDLC procedures, and Audit requirements

Supporting Activities

  • Monitor overall system performance, availability, and chart/plan appropriate actions whenever issues arise.
  • Research system performance improvements.
  • Maintain liaison with relevant IT parties regarding project SDLC, etc.
  • Liaise with business counterparts for concerns raised.
  • Monitor team progress and provide regular updates from team members.
  • Provide regular updates to Unit Head/IT PM on progress.
  • Enhance understanding of users' business operations, processes, and objectives.
  • Mitigate technical constraints and recommend alternative workarounds for users.
  • Promptly assign appropriate technical resources to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Mitigate impact of problems and execute quick recovery plans.
  • Escalate problems if necessary.
  • Review requirements with QM, IT Security, and Audit.
  • Mitigate risks and recommend control measures for non-compliance issues.
  • Ensure system is always available according to SLA.
  • Plan for resources/growth when system performance exceeds thresholds.
  • Improve system performance by tweaking related parameters.
  • Ensure project cutover is smooth and compliant with SDLC, Audit, and Governance requirements.
  • Provide timely weekly project progress reports.
  • Ensure system delivery aligns with business needs, reducing rework.
  • Obtain buy-in from business by providing sufficient information for decision-making.
  • Resolve problems within SLA with minimal turnaround time.
  • Keep business informed for smooth system recovery.
  • Involve management when necessary to facilitate tasks.
  • Ensure all deliverables/documentation comply with SDLC, IT Security, and Audit requirements.
  • Early risk mitigation to prevent delays or show-stoppers.
  • Achieve high system availability and meet service levels.

- Planning and managing IT project tasks/deliverables to meet overall project requirements.

- Managing, planning, and coordinating delivery of high-volume project tasks, including those from other IT teams.

- Supervise the technical team, managing work assignments to ensure quality and deadlines.

- Attend to user requests, plan system enhancements, deployment, performance, and problem resolution activities, and respond to user needs and demands.

- Achieve high system quality in terms of availability and service levels.

- Consider regulatory restrictions/constraints.

Education

- At least tertiary level education.

- Preference for an IT discipline.

Key Experience

- Minimum 3 years experience in application development, planning, testing, and integrating business and IT solutions.

- Experience with Microsoft Windows, Solaris, Redhat, UNIX, Apache Tomcat, Oracle HTTPS, Oracle Weblogic, JAVA, Software Control Management tools, Shell Scripting, Oracle Database, SQL, ZENA automation, FTP, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Warehouse, Customer Due Diligence, Name Screening, KYC.

- Knowledge of IT application architecture, design, and development.

- Understanding of IT solution disciplines, processes, and concepts.

- Technical aptitude with basic knowledge across application, information, technology, and process domains.

- Basic understanding of project management processes and methodologies.
