About the job (A) Senior PostgreSQL Database Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Database Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in developing PostgreSQL databases, along with a strong understanding of database design and optimization principles. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and supporting our PostgreSQL database systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases and related applications
2. Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures
3. Monitor database performance and optimize system performance
4. Ensure database availability, security, and reliability
5. Backup and restore databases, and implement disaster recovery plans
6. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
7. Collaborate with developers to design efficient and effective database structures
8. Develop and maintain database documentation and data dictionaries
9. Work with team members to implement best practices and standards for database
10. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in database development

Requirements:

1. At least 2 years of experience in developing PostgreSQL databases
2. Strong understanding of database design principles and optimization techniques
3. Proficiency in SQL and experience with query optimization
4. Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies, and disaster recovery planning
5. Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques
