Job Description

- Member of the technical team responsible for supporting the development, implementation, maintenance, and operation of application systems / IT solutions (local and regional) under Risk Management for designated applications.

- Provide user support.

- Participate in / undertake IT project tasks.

The application system development and implementation of IT projects/solutions aim to meet the business strategic plans (including business transformation, growth, operational efficiency, etc.) and compliance requirements, as well as IT-owned initiatives.

Accountability

• Ensure programs are error-free and work efficiently.
• Ensure system enhancements are delivered on time and with high quality, including accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Ensure timely resolution of application problems.
• Ensure high availability of systems and meet SLAs.
• Ensure user satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with IT standards/policies, QM SDLC procedures, and audit requirements.

Supporting Activities

• Enhance understanding of business functionalities.
• Review functional and technical designs with users and specialists.
• Conduct thorough testing and peer reviews of program codes.
• Formulate comprehensive test plans, including SIT and performance tests.
• Recognize and articulate problems, participate in resolution activities.
• Review system design and operation flow to identify potential root causes.
• Propose recovery actions and/or permanent resolutions.
• Escalate issues not within internal controls for management attention and decision.
• Review system performance statistics periodically, propose and implement performance tuning or improvements, including system redesign if necessary.
• Engage constantly with users and participate in user activities to better understand their processes.
• Follow established guidelines and policies under IT Security, QM, and Audit requirements.
• Obtain buy-ins from business by providing sufficient information for decision-making.
• Deliver error-free programs according to user specifications.
• Ensure thorough testing during SIT to minimize or eliminate errors during UAT, including exception testing.
• Resolve problems within agreed SLAs and minimize disruptions to business through recovery actions.
• Maintain system availability according to SLAs.
• Improve system performance by tuning parameters and redesigning systems if needed.
• Build rapport and trust with users through frequent engagement and participation in activities.
• Ensure all deliverables and documentation comply with SDLC, IT Security, and Audit requirements.
• Design, analyze, and provide technical specifications and guidance, review codes and test contents, and code complex programs as per user specifications.
• Demonstrate team leadership qualities, including technical knowledge and soft skills.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of systems and support according to technical specifications.
• Support user testing, review test plans, and respond to user queries and requests.
• Proactively improve processes.
• Investigate and resolve development and production problems timely and effectively, engaging vendors and infrastructure teams as needed.
• Possess good analytical skills to investigate system problems.
• Understand business knowledge, including product behavior, to provide high-quality design and technical specifications.

Education

• At least tertiary level education.
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in application development, planning, project management (small to medium projects), and integrating Business and IT solutions.
• Preferences in Information Technology (IT) discipline.

Key Experience

• Minimum 6 years in Project Implementation, Application Support, SQL/Cloud.
• Knowledge and experience in IT application architecture, analysis, design, and development in Market/Trade/Communication/Holistic Surveillance systems/tools.
• Understanding of IT solution disciplines, processes, and concepts.
• Technical aptitude with basic knowledge across application, information, technology, and process domains.
• Understanding of project management processes and methodologies, including roles and responsibilities, capable of managing end-to-end project delivery/support.
• Knowledge of Cloud service models, concepts, and computing.
• Vendor Management and Stakeholder Management skills.
