Job description

Company Overview:

A multinational electronics manufacturing services provider that supports clients from product design and prototyping through to assembly, testing, and lifecycle management. The company serves industries such as industrial technology, medical devices, energy, producing high-reliability electronic assemblies and box-build solutions across multiple global facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up, optimize, and troubleshoot SMT equipment: SPI, AOI, reflow oven profiling, pick-and-place/mounter systems
  • Perform defect analysis (tombstoning, solder bridging, cold joints) and drive CAPA
  • Conduct and maintain reflow oven thermal profiles for different PCB assemblies
  • Coordinate with suppliers and tooling engineers on stencil and fixture development
  • Manage and optimize PTH processes: robotic soldering, selective wave soldering, conventional wave soldering
  • Define and validate through-hole soldering parameters according to IPC-A-610
  • Execute IOPQ for new equipment and manufacturing lines
  • Develop and maintain APQP documentation
  • Ensure compliance with IPC standards, ESD controls, and traceability systems
  • Implement and follow up on corrective actions after audits
  • Support NPI with DFM reviews and process integration
  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen activities to improve cost, yield, and efficiency
  • Analyse production metrics using SPC and lead improvement projects
  • Perform root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, DMAIC

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelors degree in Electronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
  • Possess 5 years of hands-on SMT experience in Electronics manufacturing
  • Proficient in SPI, AOI, SMT mounter programming, reflow profiling, and robotic/selective/wave soldering
  • Experience with IOPQ, APQP, and PPAP is an advantage
  • Strong in root cause analysis, SPC, and process control
  • Knowledge of MES, ERP, and traceability systems is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Able to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
