Job Description

  1. Ensure all records on tooling utilization, inventory, and other related reports are updated and proper update of the QAD system.
  2. Work closely with production managers, engineers, and other PIC to understand tooling requirements and constraints.
  3. Assign jobs to Toolmakers and ensure full support on production needs to meet the Planner schedule.
  4. Analyze existing tooling processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  5. Participate and contribute in cost reduction and productivity programs.
  6. Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for the tooling department and ensure costs are accurately estimated and controlled.
  7. Ensure all purchased products conform to specified purchased requirements.
  8. Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and regularly compare costs from different vendors.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum 3 years experience in handling and in charge of the Tooling department.
  2. Effective negotiation skills with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms.
  3. Strong project management skills to oversee tooling projects and ensure they stay within budget.
  4. Good communication, leadership, and people-management skills.
  5. Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to multitask under pressure and change.
  6. Able to work independently.
