Under the supervision of the Williamson County Crisis Coordinator, the QMHP is a member of the Williamson County Crisis Team at the Extended Observation Unit (EOU). This position will provide a combination of authority functions within the Crisis Center and the community, to include crisis intervention and follow-up services, relapse prevention, screening, and referrals to community resources and providers.
To those residing in the voluntary unit of the EOU, the QMHP assists in providing case management, individual and group skills training, and/or psychosocial interventions in addition to completing intake protocols, development of treatment plans, and discharge planning in an environment designed to provide a safe and secure environment for short-term stabilization of behavioral health symptoms. This position will also aid in the treatment of those residing in the involuntary unit as needed.
This position will partner with law enforcement, the medical community, schools, families, and social services agencies in a collaborative effort to assist persons in crisis. The individual must possess strong knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques, and practices of working with individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis within the community, the walk-in clinic, and the voluntary respite unit, and have the ability to communicate effectively with diverse cultures and socio-economic populations.
Must have skills and experience using integrated computer database programs to access files and document treatment services, and the ability to organize and prioritize work assignments. This position requires a flexible workday and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Position may need to work a variable schedule that may include weekend and evening shifts. Shifts are offered PRN (as needed) and there is no guarantee of a minimum number of hours offered.

Credentials:
Minimum Qualifications: QMHP-CS qualification. Minimum of two years case management experience. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License.
Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual in Spanish. LCDC ($0.50/hr stipend).
