Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Plans for and procures materials necessary to meet manufacturing build requirements for one or several product lines with US supplier
- Reviews forecasted requirements and purchases materials in accordance with that forecast.
- Ensures materials are available to meet manufacturing build requirements. Matches material requirements and inventory turnover to avoid holding excessive inventory.
- Qualifies new suppliers through surveys and site visits.
- Helps establish new supplier accounts (IDM) with the finance department.
- Works with internal customers to address, return, and receive credit for defective materials.
- Works with A/P to investigate and resolve issues with the payment of supplier invoices.
- Plans and schedules timely material requirements based on customer forecasts. Reviews manufacturing production goals and plans accordingly.
- Analyzes inputs (e.g., capacity, board cycle times, urgency of request, material availability) to help determine the schedule. Considers internal impacts (e.g., line scheduling, procurement, logistics, shipping) of customer scheduling. Adjusts orders as needed per production plans.

- Ensures quality and integrity of information used to generate materials requirements plan.
- Revises plans as required based on actuals versus plan analysis.
- Performs PO cleanup and confirmations for US suppliers.
- Resolves critical shortages to build for US suppliers.
- Contacts suppliers directly as needed.
- Participates in weekly clear-to-build reviews with the day shift prime.
- Highlights Bill of Material issues for review and correction by the EC team.
- Works with site and global logistics to reduce freight costs where possible.
- Provides feedback on engineering change orders to the ECO Coordinator for cut-ins or revisions.
- Handles Cash in Advance payment requests.
- Resolves receiving and invoice referrals promptly.
- Updates CFT on commodity supply market conditions affecting material supply.
- Handles special customer audits, projects, and purchasing-related issues as needed.
- Coordinates with the day shift prime on US supplier status and scheduling updates.
- Coordinates tasks with the day shift prime, MP, and PM.
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Higher Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies, Administration, Management, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in the related department.
- Ability to work night shifts (2300-0830).
- Knowledge of manufacturing environment, materials procurement, and engineering change processes is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of production planning, scheduling, materials requirements planning, and manufacturing control systems.
- Knowledge of procurement, inventory management, and supplier management.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other business software.
- Ability to plan strategically for product build and delivery.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail under tight deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Relevant experience with ERP/MRP systems, especially SAP, is an advantage.
