Incumbents are fully qualified to execute job/role accountabilities working independently on most aspects of the job. Work is performed within established professional standards and practices. Tasks are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required to complete recurring assignments independently and to determine the best methods to follow to complete assignments. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the divisions/departments operations, schedules, and/or performance goals. Works under general Supervision. Situations not covered by standard processes, procedures and methods are referred to manager or expert resource. May demonstrate work methods to new employees. Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal service.

Detailed Description
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the physical layout tools with minimal direction from senior staff.
  • Designs, lays out, and implements production systems to ensure maximum utilization of critical resources, maximum throughput, minimum cost and capacity growth; involves integrating equipment, people, material flow systems, and information systems.
  • Provides basic technical support on assigned materials for production or customer-identified material problems.
  • Defines process problems that lead to throughput or quality issues, evaluates cause of problem, implements solutions to stabilize processes, evaluates results.
  • Acts as the focal point for all product-related technical issues.
  • Interacts with customers to resolve problems and increase the quality and yield of the product and/or the product data release process.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the design process for systems and printed circuit boards.
  • Knowledge and understanding of systems and printed circuit board manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Knowledge of industry and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of testing software, processes and methodologies and failure analysis.
  • Knowledge of IT platforms, database design and programming languages.
  • Knowledge of some or all of the following: UNIX, NT, database management system.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Ability to evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
  • Knowledge of materials and components used in the construction of systems and printed circuit boards and subassemblies.
  • Knowledge of industry and quality standards for incoming materials.
  • Ability to evaluate materials, gather and analyze data and determine root cause of problems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal and external customers.

  • Two to Four years relevant experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
