Job summary

Celestica Malaysia is seeking an Associate Engineer, Manufacturing Equipment to develop and source manufacturing equipment, support deployment, and improve performance while ensuring safety. Under supervision, you will assist in automation solutions, qualify hardware and software, and analyze OEE data to optimize manufacturing efficiency.

You will support operations to program, deploy, and maintain equipment, perform maintenance activities, and align with product roadmaps using Celestica E2E

• Support customer product road map using Celestica Automation E2E process and tools such as URS and DFAA.

Summary

The Associate Engineer, Manufacturing Equipment is responsible for the development and/or sourcing of manufacturing equipment to support manufacturing operations goals. Scope of job may include design and development of equipment, qualification, deployment to manufacturing, improving performance and supporting programs to optimize efficiencies while maintaining a safe working environment.

Detailed Description

• Under supervision, assist in the development and implementation of new standard automation solutions and/or "off the shelf" equipment. Support the equipment's software and hardware upgrades and qualification.
• Support the hardware and software improvements of both Celestica led developments and off the shelf equipment via the analysis of Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and other available data,
• Support manufacturing operations to program, qualify, deploy, optimize and maintain equipment
• Execute maintenance activities with supervision.
• Support customer product road map using Celestica Automation E2E process and tools such as User Requirement Specifications (URS) and Design for Automation Assembly (DFAA).

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
