Celestica is seeking a Technician, Quality 2 in Kulim, Malaysia. The role performs in-process and first-article assessments, identifies non-conforming materials, and ensures corrective actions are implemented on the production line.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of related experience, familiarity with quality standards, and proficiency with Word/Excel and quality systems such as Spectrum Pro and EtQ. The position is full-time and on-site at the Kulim facility.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of related experience; experience in similar roles.
• Familiarity with quality and manufacturing standards is preferred.
• Good computer skills with Word and Excel and basic software tooling.

• Supports and verifies identification and processing of internal non-conforming materials.
• Ensures changes and corrective actions are followed on the manufacturing line.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Performs and reports in process and product first layer assessment.
• Performs activities identified related to the Key process and product characteristics.
• Supports and verifies the identification and processing of internal non-conforming materials for proper disposition.
• Ensures that the implemented changes and corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues are respected in the manufacturing line.
• Performs First Article Assessment activities.
• Supports internal, industry and customer audits as required.
• Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality
• Processes.
• Supports and performs the RMA quality related activities.
• Ability to exercise good judgment in providing quality guidance.
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers.
• Knowledge and understanding of quality and manufacturing standards.
• Good knowledge of computer applications and the ability to perform tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel.
• Good knowledge and understanding of shop floor control and quality management documentation systems such as Spectrum Pro, EtQ.
• Skills for evaluating, diagnosing and solving problems encountered in the manufacturing.
• Well organized.
