A leading company in oil and gas is seeking a Planning Engineer in Ahmadi, Kuwait. • Prepare progress measurement system.

• Participate in progress meetings with contractors.
• Contribute to various progress reports and presentations.
• Prepare MTO & BOQ from tender documents.
• Compare technical and commercial quotes.

Job description

Overview

We are looking for candidates for the below position:

• Planning Engineer.
• Project Planning and Scheduling.
• Progress Reporting and Delay Analysis.
• Hands on experience and Excellence in use of Primavera P6.
• Ability to Handle and analyze large progress data using MS-Excel or other computerized system.
• Good interpersonal, communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Preparing detailed Project Schedules EPC Projects and finalizing key milestone, Critical paths.
• Prepare progress measurement system EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Construction, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning) along with weightages.
• Finalizing project Histograms, Project S-Curves by Mann-hour and Quantity loaded schedule.
• Updating and monitoring of project schedules and works progress status including identifying slippage/critical paths and floats / areas of concern and suggest action plan for recovery.
• Reviewing and analyzing of contractor/consultants planning deliverables, e.g. schedule updates & progress reports; prepare / compile the comments.
• Visit the work site periodically once the site activities commence to verify critical activities progress at site.
• Participate in progress meeting with contractor / vendor and provide valuable suggestions and inputs.
• Contribute for planning portions in preparation of various progress reports and presentations for the department.
• Reviewing the tender documents and preparing the clarifications and sending them to the client for accurate estimation.
• Preparation of MTO & BOQ from tender docs for primary discipline.
• Sending, Monitoring and getting quotations from approved vendors for the materials/subcontracts/Services.
• Comparing the technical and commercial quotes received from multiple vendors and considering the most accurate one for the estimation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience out of 6 years in Oil & Gas Projects with EPC Companies.
• Should have previous approvals with KOC/KNPC/KGOC as a planning engineering
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal & writing).
• Based in Kuwait & Transferable residency.
• Can Join Immediately.
