Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead Maintenance & Engineering (M&E) function by formulating strategic business plans and ensure operational targets are delivered at optimum cost-efficiency and resource utilisation.
- Provide strategic direction to the M&E function to ensure safe and airworthy aircraft are available for operations.
- Ensure that all M&E activities conform to the Kuwait DGCA requirements, KCASR, SARPS & ISARPs, and established procedures of Jazeera Airways.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis to study the viability of insourcing various projects pertaining to Line & Base Maintenance, Workshops, Stores, etc.
- Lead cost optimization initiatives without compromising safety or operational quality.
- Lead and/or actively participate in contract negotiations for maintenance, aircraft delivery/redelivery, lease agreements, components service agreements, etc.
- Ensure aircraft availability and utilization by coordinating maintenance schedules to support commercial operations while allowing sufficient ground time for planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
- Ensure that all Safety & Security procedures related to aircraft, employees, equipment, tools, and facilities are adhered to and carry out investigations when required.
- Provide coaching and training to employees while closely monitoring their performance to ensure their continuous professional growth and operational excellence.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Holds a valid Kuwait DGCA / EASA / GCAA license in either the Airframe and Powerplant category or Avionics category, and/or a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
- Has at least 20 years of work experience in a commercial airline or MRO, with at least 15 years as a Head of Maintenance or Head of CAMO.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Kuwait DGCA regulations and requirements, including the contents of the Air Operator's Certificate, Operations Specifications, and standards necessary to ensure safety and efficiency.
