Overview

This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP.

Applies understanding and knowledge of information systems products and services to provide technical, software, hardware, and network problem resolution to all computer users. Performs question/problem diagnosis and guides users through step-by-step solutions in a service center environment; clearly communicates technical solutions in a user-friendly professional manner. Escalates complex technical issues using the Remedy ticket submission system. Recognizes, researches, isolates, and resolves first level information systems problems and coordinates referrals to appropriate technical, professional, or service personnel for service, repairs, training, and follow-up. Maintains, operates, and upgrades all Automation Data Processing Equipment (ADPE), including servers, PC systems, laptops, printers, DSN/VOIP phones, and other peripherals (KVM switches, CAC readers, etc.). Supports all aspects of system support, including Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory, domain management, WINS, DNS, print queues, database systems, software maintenance, and system updates. Maintains and administers enterprise applications, supporting analysis, design, testing, and implementation of systems and networks.

  • Provide Help Desk support for users on NIPRNET, SIPRNET, stand-alone AIS, or communication systems issues.
  • Use work order system to initiate, update, and track user requests.
  • Serve as a single point of contact for user inquiries and act as liaison for problem management.
  • Install updates, service packs, or replacement parts for supported equipment.
  • Operate, maintain, and upgrade ADPE including servers, desktops, laptops, printers, tablets, and peripherals.
  • Disassemble, inspect, repair, and test PC systems and printers to motherboard or control board level.
  • Provide initial evaluation and recommendations for submitted trouble tickets within 3 working days.
  • Support analysis, design, testing, and implementation of systems and networks.
  • Apply basic IA concepts, practices, and procedures within the computing environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship and valid Secret clearance required.
  • Meet AR 25-2 requirements for privileged access (IAT-I).
  • Certifications: Security+, Microsoft 365 Certified Modern Desktop Administrator, or Server+ as per DoD 8570.1-M; Baseline & Computing Environment certification before hire.
  • Minimum three years related experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, technical problem resolution, documentation, troubleshooting hardware/software, PowerShell scripting (a plus), and security training.

Working Conditions

  • Capable of working in extreme weather conditions, including temperatures exceeding 120°F.
  • Indoor and outdoor environments with harsh conditions.

Physical Requirements

  • Light work involving exertion up to 20 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently.
  • May involve heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing/sitting, and exposure to potential hazards.
  • Use of PPE required in some situations; compliance with safety regulations mandatory.
