Support Engineer / Maintenance Technician
We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Support Engineer / Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role covers the maintenance, repair, and servicing of coffee equipment as well as general shop upkeep.
From fixing machines to keeping our stores running smoothly, you'll play a key role in ensuring our operations stay efficient and uninterrupted!
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance (PPM) for coffee machines, fridges, freezers, ovens, dishwashers, and other equipment across all sites.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and service calls, diagnose issues, and execute repairs to restore functionality.
- Maintain strong technical knowledge of fully Automatic espresso machines
- Troubleshoot electronic and mechanical issues related to heating elements, water pressure, calibration, and dosing.
- Maintain accurate logs of work performed, parts replaced, and time spent on each task via the CMMS system.
- Report recurring issues, major breakdowns, or aging assets to management and recommend solutions.
- Track and manage spare parts inventory to ensure critical items are always available.
- Coordinate with the procurement team / Suppliers for parts ordering and supplier follow-up.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment during shop openings or refurbishments.
- Provide on-site support during store launches and training sessions for basic equipment handling.
- Follow safety protocols and company policies during maintenance work.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations concerning equipment and refrigeration systems.
- Perform minor MEP works and basic civil repairs as needed (e.g., plumbing leaks, light fixtures, small tiling or painting jobs).
Requirements
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a maintenance or technical support role within the F&B or hospitality sector.
- Proven hands-on experience with commercial espresso machines and other kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms and reporting tools.
- Experience or familiarity with general building services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Valid driving license
- Field-based role with frequent travel between branches, kitchens, and warehouses.
- On-call availability for urgent breakdowns
- Work may require occasional evening or weekend interventions.
