Job summary

AlKhat Printing Press is seeking a full-time hybrid MGI JetVarnish 3D Spot UV / iFoil Digital Printing Machine Operator in Kuwait. The role covers machine setup, operation, calibration, and quality control for spot UV and foiling finishes, with coordination with prepress and design teams.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with digital finishing equipment, strong print production knowledge, and a safety-first approach.

Qualifications

• Experience operating digital finishing equipment (MGI JetVarnish 3D, iFoil or similar spot UV/foiling)
• Strong technical skills in print production, including machine setup and calibration
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving in production
• Understanding of print QC, color management, registration, and finishing standards
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production specs
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to workplace safety and equipment care
• Effective communication and collaboration with designers and production staff
• Experience in commercial printing or packaging preferred; vocational training is a plus
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with digital workflows (RIP software beneficial)

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor MGI JetVarnish 3D and iFoil equipment.
• Prepare job files, calibrate machines, and run test prints.
• Ensure accurate registration, color consistency, and finishing effects.
• Maintain production records and enforce quality control standards.
• Coordinate with prepress and design teams during production.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical or software issues.
• Follow safety procedures and support workflow improvements.
• Support deadlines and customer expectations in a hybrid on-site role.
