The Slickline Operator plays a crucial role in the oil and gas industry, particularly in the maintenance and operation of slickline equipment. This position involves working in challenging environments, often on-site at oil fields, where the operator is responsible for conducting various slickline operations to ensure the efficient extraction of oil and gas. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of slickline technology and be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate slickline equipment for well interventions and maintenance.
- Conduct pre-job and post-job inspections of all slickline tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to plan and execute slickline operations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all operations.
- Document all operations, including job reports and equipment maintenance logs.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to slickline operations.
- Respond to equipment failures and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Assist in the preparation of slickline equipment for transport to and from job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
- Provide support to senior operators and engineers during complex operations.
