Position Overview:

American International University (AIU) is seeking an SIS Systems Analyst and Programmer to support the university’s Student Information System (SIS), including the Ellucian Banner platform. This role focuses on system support, report development, database optimization, and integration of academic and administrative systems. While prior experience is preferred, we welcome candidates with a solid technical foundation and a strong interest in higher education systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain academic and administrative reports using SQL and PL/SQL.
• Extract, validate, and analyze data from Banner (Ellucian) and related systems.
• Assist in optimizing report performance and ensuring data accuracy.
• Write and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and packages.
• Support data integrity and Oracle database performance for SIS-related modules.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather technical and business requirements.
• Assist in integrating SIS with systems such as LMS, HR, communications, and authentication platforms.
• Document workflows, specifications, and system enhancements.
• Contribute to automating student data workflows and reports.
• Work with tools such as BI Publisher, Power BI, or other reporting platforms.
• Provide basic technical support and assist with training and documentation for end users.
  
  

Qualifications & Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Oracle Databases, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Familiarity with Ellucian Banner or other Student Information Systems is a plus.
• Exposure to reporting tools such as BI Publisher, Power BI, Argos, or JasperReports is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
• Effective communicator and team collaborator.
