Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a SharePoint Administrator/Knowledge Management Specialist for an on-site, full-time position in Kuwait City. Responsibilities include designing, maintaining, and operating medium to large SharePoint farms, creating custom workflows, and analyzing business processes to map requirements.

The role requires a BA/BS, 3–5 years of SharePoint experience, DoD 8570‑M certification or equivalent, and US citizenship with a secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• 3–5 years of SharePoint administration experience.
• Experience designing, maintaining, and operating medium to large SharePoint farms.
• Strong business process analysis and requirements mapping skills.
• Experience with custom development in .NET and Web Parts deployment.
• Knowledge of SQL Server, CRM, Active Directory, and enterprise search.
• Hands-on troubleshooting for SharePoint and Windows environments.
• U.S. citizenship and Secret security clearance.
• DoD 8570.01‑M certification or equivalent (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CKM, ITIL v4 Foundation).
• Microsoft certifications: MCTS – SharePoint & SharePoint Server, MCITP – SharePoint Administrator (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain medium to large SharePoint farms.
• Create custom workflows and web parts using SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, and .NET.
• Analyze business processes and map functional requirements.
• Plan, configure, and test system implementations.
• Perform hardware and software maintenance for servers and PCs.
• Monitor and sustain SharePoint and related infrastructure.
• Review and recommend software applications and hardware characteristics.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft Office SharePoint Server environments (2010/2013 or later).
• Collaborate with Microsoft technologies such as SQL Server, CRM, ADFS, Exchange, and Active Directory.
• Assist with enterprise search, content management, and shared services.
