A leading company in the automotive industry is seeking a Service Advisor to be the main point of contact for customers. The role involves greeting customers, understanding their vehicle needs, scheduling appointments, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic mechanical knowledge, and experience in the automotive sector.
Job Summary:
The Service Advisor is the main point of contact between customers and the service department. They are responsible for greeting customers, understanding their vehicle needs, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a smooth and satisfactory service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet customers and gather information about their vehicle concerns or service needs
Provide accurate estimates for service costs and timelines
Schedule service appointments and assign work to technicians
Communicate with technicians to ensure timely completion of work
Keep customers informed on service progress and any changes or additional work needed
Explain repair details, charges, and warranties to customers clearly
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and promptly
Maintain accurate records of services, invoices, and warranties
Promote service specials, products, and additional services when appropriate
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or customer service training is a plus
Previous experience in a service advisor, automotive, or customer service role preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
Proficient in using service software and Microsoft Office applications
Valid driver s license
2-4 years of Automotive industry experience
