Al Mulla Group in Kuwait City, Kuwait, is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead planning, procurement, and control of materials for production. The role emphasizes on-time availability, inventory optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with Production, Engineering and QA/QC to meet project schedules.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree with 15–20 years in procurement, supply chain and materials management within steel fabrication or heavy engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 15–20 years of procurement, supply chain and materials management experience in heavy fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of materials management, procurement in fabrication or heavy engineering.

Responsibilities

• Plan, procure, and control raw materials and bought-out items for production.
• Ensure timely material availability to avoid production delays and support schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock accuracy, and movements to minimize shortages and waste.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, QA/QC, Projects and Stores for planning.
• Develop supplier relationships and drive supplier performance and cost competitiveness.
• Lead vendor development and localization opportunities where feasible.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery to optimize costs.
• Implement Lean practices in materials management and procurement processes.
• Analyze consumption trends and KPIs to support cost control and decisions.
• Ensure proper storage, preservation, traceability and compliant handling.
