Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent qualification in Plastic Surgery.
• Substantial post-specialization practice in plastic/reconstructive surgery.
• Independent consultation, diagnosis and surgical planning ability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct specialist consultations for plastic/reconstructive cases.
• Review history, investigations, and plan treatment options.
• Perform assessments and establish diagnoses.
• Develop individualized surgical plans based on indications.
• Determine candidate suitability and assess risks.
• Explain options, procedures, risks, outcomes, and recovery.
• Obtain informed consent before surgery.
• Perform plastic/reconstructive procedures per scope.
• Apply surgical techniques per patient condition and objectives.
• Coordinate pre-operative prep with teams.
• Ensure investigations and safety checks are complete.
• Provide postoperative medical and surgical care.
• Monitor healing, progress, and outcomes.
• Identify and manage complications promptly.
• Conduct follow-up consultations and assess need for further treatment.
• Provide clear postoperative instructions and recovery guidance.
• Maintain detailed records of consultations and procedures.
• Ensure records reflect decisions, outcomes, and care.
• Follow patient-safety, infection-control and quality standards.
• Maintain professional ethics across surgical care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary discussions for complex cases.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and teams.
• Support continuity of care with timely handovers.
• Maintain ongoing knowledge through CME and development.
