Senior Mechanical Engineer

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and components for various projects in industries such as construction, manufacturing, and energy. This role involves providing technical expertise, overseeing the creation of detailed mechanical designs, managing the integration of mechanical systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The Senior Mechanical Engineer also mentors junior engineers, performs complex calculations and simulations, and resolves mechanical issues during project execution. Strong leadership, advanced problem-solving skills, and expertise in mechanical design are key for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems, components, and equipment for projects.
• Conduct advanced mechanical calculations, simulations, and stress analysis to ensure the feasibility and performance of designs.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical systems to ensure they meet functional, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with project teams, including electrical, civil, and other engineering disciplines, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into larger projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues during project development and operations.
• Review and approve mechanical designs, drawings, and technical documentation, ensuring they align with project requirements and industry standards.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient project execution.
• Ensure compliance with relevant mechanical engineering codes, safety standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, ISO, ANSI).
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by evaluating new technologies, methods, and materials for use in mechanical systems.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5-7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems.
• Expertise in mechanical design, thermal analysis, fluid mechanics, and materials selection.
• Proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, ANSYS).
• Strong understanding of mechanical codes, safety standards, and industry regulations.
• Proven ability to lead projects and manage cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
