Qualifications

• Diploma in Engg. OR B. Sc. Degree.
• IOSH or NEBOSH Certification from a recognized institute with minimum 15 years experience, including 7 years as HSE personnel.
• Minimum 10 years total post-graduation experience.
• Minimum 5 years Oil & Gas post-graduation experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an HSE Supervisor role.
• Must have completed certified HSE courses in General Industrial Safety, Construction Safety, Environmental Management, Industrial Hygiene, ISO 14001/OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, IOSH, ASSE certificate or equivalent.
• Practical experience in identifying and controlling HSE issues on construction sites within Oil & Gas or similar industries.

Responsibilities

• Identification and control of HSE issues on construction sites.
• Monitor the EPC contractor HSE Management System and advise EPC HSE managers to ensure consistent compliance and risk reduction.
• Provide guidance to EPC contractor management on HSE issues per KOC policies and statutory requirements.
• Monitor Kuwait legislation compliance and disseminate information to PMC and EPC managers and employees on amendments.
• Develop and maintain relationships with KOC, regulatory bodies and EPC contractors to uphold KBR’s professional image.
• Visit project sites regularly to ensure HSE awareness, conduct safety talks and training sessions.
• Proactively visit sites with EPC contractor to implement safety measures and promote safe work practices.
• Ensure a quality safety observation program is implemented and followed up on findings.
• Assist EPC contractor construction management in identifying hazards and planning safe work.
• Assist EPC sub-contractor safety advisors and site management in safety program development and revision.
• Disseminate safety information via bulletin boards, posters, newsletters, etc.
• Assist line management and supervisors in accident investigations and reporting.
• Monitor availability and use of safety apparel and equipment.
