Job summary

Anton in Kuwait seeks a Senior Consultant Geophysicist to lead regional exploration programs and integrate seismic, gravity, magnetic, and well data to build robust petroleum systems and play maps.

You will guide 2D/3D seismic interpretations, acoustic modelling, and probabilistic resource estimates while coordinating across geophysics, geology, and reservoir teams. English fluency and strategic thinking are essential for stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• PhD in Geophysics, Geoscience, or closely related discipline.
• Minimum 20 years of upstream oil & gas experience.
• Extensive experience in basin analysis, regional exploration, prospect generation, seismic interpretation, and exploration risk assessment.
• Strong knowledge of 2D/3D seismic interpretation, seismic attributes, AVO/AVAz, DHI analysis, seismic inversion, and depth conversion.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams comprising geophysicists, geologists, geochemists, reservoir engineers, and other technical specialists.

Responsibilities

• Lead basin-scale geophysical evaluations integrating seismic, gravity, magnetic, and well data to define regional frameworks.
• Conduct regional seismic interpretation, horizon mapping, and cross-section construction to evaluate petroleum systems.
• Integrate 2D/3D seismic and potential field data to develop subsurface models.
• Prepare and present Play Chance Assessments and Petroleum System Models for management decisions.
• Generate, map, evaluate and rank exploration prospects using 3D seismic interpretation and advanced attributes.
• Lead structural interpretation, fault mapping, depth conversion, and seismic inversion studies.
• Promote AI/ML-assisted geophysical interpretation and digital geoscience workflows.
• Mentor and develop geoscience professionals through technical training.
