The role of an SQL Server core and Analysis Services and Power BI Engineer level 400 involves advanced technical responsibilities in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions.

Key responsibilities

1. SQL Server: Database Management:
   Administering and optimizing SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and data integrity. This includes configuring and managing SQL Server instances, performing backups, and implementing security measures.
2. Performance Tuning:
   Conducting in-depth performance analysis and optimization, including query tuning, indexing strategies, and resource management to ensure efficient database operations.
3. Troubleshooting:
   Diagnosing and resolving complex database issues, including deadlocks, performance bottlenecks, and connectivity problems.
4. Analysis Services: Cube Development:
   Designing and developing multidimensional and tabular models using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS). This involves creating and managing dimensions, hierarchies, measures, and calculated members.
5. Performance Optimization:
   Implementing best practices for cube design and optimization, including partitioning, aggregations, and indexing to enhance query performance and scalability.
6. Advanced Analytics:
   Utilizing Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) to create complex calculations and business logic within cubes.
7. Power BI: Report Development:
   Creating interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI. This includes connecting to various data sources, transforming data using Power Query, and building data models.
8. Advanced Features:
   Leveraging advanced Power BI features such as row-level security, custom visuals, and Power BI Service for sharing and collaboration.
9. Integration:
   Integrating Power BI with other Microsoft tools and services, such as Azure, SQL Server, and SharePoint, to provide comprehensive business intelligence solutions.
