We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Chief Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within real estate, estate management, or charitable projects, combined with excellent technical and leadership skills. This role involves managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with international standards, and supporting financial reporting and analysis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Monitor and manage general ledger activity and ensure accurate financial postings.
  • Lead the budgeting process, including preparing, monitoring, and reporting on budgets and variances.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.
  • Manage and reconcile profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
  • Supervise and guide a small team of accountants and finance assistants.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial data and reporting.
  • Contribute to financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Maintain and improve accounting systems and processes, preferably within Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP.
  • Perform advanced financial analysis and reporting using Excel and other tools.

Skills

  • Minimum 10 years in accounting, preferably in real estate, estate management, or charitable sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certifications (preferred).

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge and application of IFRS.
  • Strong experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.
  • Advanced Excel skills and capability in data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Full proficiency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written).
